Zemax Optic Studio Workshop

Our SPIE student chapter organized a Zemax workshop, spanning two days on August 2nd and August 4th. This exclusive event was offered free of charge to SPIE members. Attendees were recognized for their participation with a certificate upon the successful conclusion of the workshop.

Designed with beginners in mind, the workshop started with a comprehensive overview of fundamental concepts in ray optics, basic lens designs, and aberrations. Through interactive sessions, participants gained a solid understanding of these foundational principles. In the second session, the focus shifted towards the optimization of optical designs and the utilization of merit functions. These advanced topics were elucidated through relevant examples, allowing attendees to grasp the practical applications and significance of optimization techniques in optical engineering.
